Sean Ryan is a writer and director from Staten Island, New York, growing up with a sense of guilt for no apparent reason due to his Irish Catholic upbringing. However, Sean is now unapologetically optimistic once discovering his uncharted talents during his five years of military service after graduating from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. His first drama feature, THESE BIRDS DON'T FLY SOUTH IN THE WINTER, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video, was recognized by 13 Film Festivals. Diverging from his original career path, Sean’s writing explores "self-identity through paradoxical circumstance" which has led him to recognition by Scriptapalooza, Screencraft, Outstanding Screenplays, and more. In addition, Sean’s award winning psychological short films continue his exploration of people finding their authentic way in life in unique, vibrant worlds. He resides in Los Angeles.
